Advantages of Membership

Members meet monthly, on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, for dinner at an area establishment. Guest speakers are invited to each meeting, and the meeting is regularly attended by local, state and national elected officials as well as Republican Party officials.

Members have an opportunity to meet candidates, potential candidates and elected officials in a relaxed, social setting and interact with them.

Members also have an opportunity to get involved in political, civic and charitable functions that help improve our quality of life.

The Pelican State Pachyderm Club also offers its’ members:

bullet Political education to assist in making an informed vote
bullet Enhanced understanding of how our system of government operates
bullet An opportunity to become involved in campaigns and to impact the political process

Nationally known guest speakers at the monthly Pelican State Pachyderm Club meetings have included:

In addition, the Club has also hosted several local and regional favorities including:

The Club has also featured candidates for Governor, U.S. Senate, House of Representatives, various state and local candidates and elected officials as speakers.

In addition to monthly dinner meetings, the Club also takes Educational Field Trips that highlight the Legislative Process and trips to other venues not normally accessible to the general public.
